The precautions for using gypsum saws are as follows:

1. Cut the filler and tubular bandage with a dull gypsum saw. In order to facilitate the opening or removal of the plaster and reduce harm to the patient, it is sometimes necessary to use a blunt plaster saw to cut open both sides of the plaster. Carefully plan the positions of the openings on both sides for easy disassembly and reuse. If severe swelling may occur after the initial fixation of the fracture, a plaster can be cut from the plaster canal groove. After removing the lining and tubular bandage under the plaster, fill the gaps in the plaster groove with a soft cotton pad to prevent swelling of the gaps, and wrap the plaster with elastic bandages. When cutting open a semi-rigid gypsum pipe, pressing both sides of the gypsum can separate the upper part of the gypsum from the skin. This provides space for insertion, helping to avoid damage to the patient's skin and soft tissues.

2. Re fix the gypsum pipe type. After slotting the gypsum, fix it with elastic bandages. In special circumstances, it is recommended to sequentially cut open the plaster to avoid affecting fracture reduction, rather than completely cutting off the plaster at once. Usually, a part of the plaster is cut open, wrapped with a bandage, then cut open and wrapped with a bandage. Display staged incision and fixation techniques.

3. Regardless of whether gypsum is waterproof or not, it is recommended not to get wet. Because even waterproof fiberglass materials, if there is too much water, it may still affect their mechanical strength. More importantly, once moisture enters between the plaster and the skin, it can cause discomfort such as itching, odor, and difficulty completely drying out. Local bacterial infections, soaking, ulcers, rashes, contact dermatitis, etc. can also be seen.

If you can't take it anymore, you must take a shower. Use various methods to protect as much as possible. When the gypsum is large, try to cover and seal it with waterproof material, and place the gypsum outside the bathtub or shower area.
